We’d like to say thanks to another Fivestone favorite: Operation Smile.

Every 3 minutes, a child is born with a cleft palate. Complications range from difficulty breathing, speaking and eating, to abandonment by family, to death. Those who survive are often social outcasts, suffering immense emotional abuse without resources to afford corrective surgery. With 45 minutes, Operation Smile can restore hope and forever change a life.

Operation Smile mobilizes thousands of medical volunteers united under the belief that access to safe surgery is not a privilege, but a universal human right. Medical teams provide free surgeries to correct cleft-palates and dentistry, along with offering speech and psychosocial therapies in the most impoverished countries.

By championing projects of purpose we can slay giants of injustice all around the world.
