Big News From The Heartland!
The Cherokee Nation just officially declared itself Film Ready and we’re here for it – literally!
This isn’t just another film-friendly designation. The Cherokee Nation made history as the first-ever tribal nation to roll out the red carpet for film and TV productions. Smoother approvals, a single point of contact (yes, please!), and a creative playground spread across 14 beautiful counties in northeastern Oklahoma. And with up to $1 million a year in production incentives, The Tribe offers a serious boost for your bottom line.
The Owassa, OK facility includes a 27,000 square foot soundstage, production offices and flex space, while an additional facility provides another 10,000 feet and a second sound stage.
Beyond hosting outside productions, Cherokee Film secures narrative sovereignty for its own projects – elevating Native voices and showcasing a vibrant, living culture through the power of film.
With world-class facilities, streamlined support, and major incentives, the Cherokee Nation is rolling out the welcome mat for production and setting the stage for something bigger in Oklahoma.
